My (Dan’s) love of travel started many years ago in 2001 with my Tourism Management degree and summers as a holiday rep in Spanish and Portuguese resorts. Donna & I met during one of those summers, and after working in many places around the world from Ibiza to Sydney, we settled near Donna’s home city of Swansea and married on the blue lagoon in Turkey. It was here that we fostered over 50 children in 15 years and continued with our travel passion by joining the Go Cruise & Travel family.
Our favourite cruise ship...
We love to explore and the itinerary is as important to us as the facilities on board the ship, so our favourite ship depends on the purpose and who we are with. For our family holidays our daughter has one expectation from a cruise ship – hidden ducks! For an adult break away we like a smaller, calmer, more luxurious vibe with an espresso martini for Donna & a local ale for me.
Next on our wish list is...
Dan - Antarctica – To sail to the edge of the world and tread where few others have. A truly wild unspoiled landscape.
Donna – cruising the Greek islands, another visit to Kotor… the list could go on….
Family trip – Japan for the anime loving teen!
