Canada has such a vast landscape, it can make choosing a holiday very difficult. Whether you’re looking for a thrilling trip filled with fun activities in the mountains or a relaxing cruise around the cities looking at cultural attractions, the Great White North has it all.
In the west, you’ll discover the Rocky Mountains, an avid hiker’s dream, where the scenery is spectacular all year round. Feast your eyes on the turquoise lakes and sparkling glaciers in the foreground, contrasting with limestone caves and dense forest behind.
Also in the west, you can discover quaint towns like Jasper, best known for its beautiful national park, and Whistler, home to one of the largest ski resorts in North America. Both are enclosed by snow-capped peaks and filled with many glacial lakes that’ll leave you desperate to capture the idyllic setting on camera.
Sail around the east to explore Canada’s colourful towns and bustling cities like Quebec City, a tourist’s favourite. Find the 17th-century colonial core in this French-speaking destination and wander around the cobbled Place Royale, lined with enticing souvenir shops and charming restaurants. Where better to grab yourself a souvenir and try the local food?
One of Canada’s main focal points is Niagara Falls, a collection of three magnificent waterfalls spread across the border between New York and Ontario. Choose to sit back and watch the water cascade down from the border, brave walking over the Rainbow Bridge or book a private helicopter tour to get an even closer look.
Travel to the north to discover the Canadian Arctic where exotic wildlife roams free amongst ice, snow and water. The most common way to travel around this region is via an expedition cruise as it allows you to get the best views of polar bears, walruses and whales from zodiacs and kayaks.
