Borealis is one of the fastest luxury ships in the world, with a cruising speed of 25 knots. The ship’s decor is enhanced by a $2 million collection of artwork and fine antiques themed on Dutch exploration, giving an atmosphere of elegance and refinement, with features that recall famous ships in our history.
The 3-deck OVAL ATRIUM has as its’ centrepiece a clock tower based on a17th century Flemish original. The tower’s 14 clocks are adorned with mermaids, dolphins and snakes. Some clocks tell the time around the world, others are just for show! The base of tower features an astrological clock on one side and astronomical clock on the other - depicting the stars in the city of Rotterdam’s night sky.
Onboard MS Rotterdam guests may enjoy a taste of De Libjrije, featuring the three star Michelin cuisine of Culinary Council member Jonny Boer once per cruise, as well as dining options including the Pinnacle Grill and Canaletto

During the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays only, Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines offer organised and hosted children’s activities within the Little Skippers Club subject to a minimum number of children booked on the cruise. The Little Skippers Club supervises children from ages 5-11, with Children’s Hosts arranging meet∘ and greets with parents and children when they embark.
The Little Skippers Club offers a wide range of activities including games, contests, scavenger hunts, sports and fitness instruction, arts and crafts, pizza making and cooking sessions, pool and swimming sessions, discos, karaoke and kids bingo.
Typically, gratuities are charged at £5.00 per person, per day for guests aged 12 and over. This amount is split equally between your stewardess∘ and restaurant waiter, and will be automatically added to your on board account. While very much appreciated, these gratuities are voluntary, and therefore can be adjusted or removed completely at Guest Services on board the ship if you wish
