In 2001 together with my husband Paul we decided to start our own business and did so by joining a Cruise Franchise.
After spending 20+ years working for a large PLC in front line sales and service roles and managing teams of staff I had the opportunity to change my career completely. I had always loved to travel and having a father who had told me so much about the world through his experiences travelling with the Royal Navy the increasing popularity of Ocean Cruising became a real interest to me. I had always loved speaking with clients in my previous roles and delivering a high level of personal service and together with my love to travel recognised that these could be combined in a new venture.
After a career in banking which came to an end in March 2001 I found it very easy to move my experience into the world of travel as I am a person who thrives on doing business on the back of the foundations of a sound relationships with my clients.
Whilst some people may not immediately see the link between my previous career and a Cruise franchise business there are many similarities which mean that most travellers, like banking clients, will highly value a service provider they can trust and enjoy doing business with. My philosophy is simple really as my sustainable long term business model is appreciated because of my comprehensive knowledge of travel and the provision of a service level which assures the client of a “can do” mentality. This is all supported by a creative approach to all requests coupled with a high degree of attention to detail.close ↑

We initially started our business servicing Teletext Holiday client calls and developing our business locally. Using the skills from my previous roles and being able to use my knowledge of travel I soon found that I had regular clients booking their holidays both cruise and land based with me and referring friends and family. I now have clients who live throughout the UK, several of which I have cruised with and have now become friends.
Having travelled worldwide including the Far East, Australia and America, staying in hotels with varying ratings and facilities and using many different airlines using my first hand experience has been beneficial to me and proven to be highly valued by my clients. I have travelled with family parties including young children and grandparents and understand the importance of establishing everyone’s requirements to make the experience enjoyable for all.
Being able to discuss all aspects of what my clients are looking for in a holiday, being well travelled and having first hand experience of many of the Cruise Ships there are to choose from I feel I can provide them with the ideal cruise for them personally and take great pride in doing so.
From humble beginnings servicing Teletext Clients with specific requirements I quickly found that success is built upon the ability to listen carefully to the clients requirements and then provide the solution in the form of the ideal cruise for them. This is very often not the cruise they had enquired about.
I believe that I am in the business of selling dreams and giving my clients total peace of mind when they travel so that they can immerse themselves in a relaxing, uplifting and well deserved break.
My experience in my early years has given me the skills to be very creative when providing holiday solutions and I am never phased by any request however detailed or challenging. The wonderful news for the clients now is that my abilities to package a holiday will result in the ideal holiday at a much reduced cost when compared to many other package providers.
I make it my very serious mission make my clients my friends in such a way that I retain and carefully service their needs so that they will only think of me when it comes to booking their next Holiday whether it is a cruise or any other type of break.close ↑

Together with Paul we have been finalists and received awards from several cruise lines including Royal Caribbean International, Celebrity Cruises and Fred. Olsen Cruise Lines.
I have a full knowledge of all sectors of the Cruise industry from 3 Star to the Luxury market and am well aware of the benefits of all aspects of mainstream cruising as well as the many niche operators such as Voyages to Antiquity with whom I have cruised.
I have been fortunate to sail with my family and friends and visit many Cruise Lines including Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Crystal, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Holland America, MSC, NCL, Oceania, P&O, Princess, Regent, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, Silversea, Star Clipper and Voyages to Antiquity.
I have also been very privileged to attend previews of new ships when they have been launched in Miami such as Celebrity Cruise Lines elegant “Solstice” and Royal Caribbean’s sensational “Oasis of the Seas”
I have a full knowledge of all sectors of the Cruise industry from 3 Star to the Luxury market and am well aware of the benefits of all aspects of mainstream cruising as well as the many niche markets we see today. I have a very strong relationship with Royal Caribbean & Celebrity Cruise lines which has in recent years seen my wife Joann and I being short listed for their cruise agents of the year.
When it comes to the various more niche areas I feel comfortable selling any or the following cruise propositions: Family, Luxury, Singles, Discovery, World, River and Tailor made.
I have personal knowledge from sailing on or visiting the ships of: Amadeus River, Azamara, Carnival, Celebrity, Costa, Cruise & Maritime, Crystal, Cunard, Fred Olsen, Holland America, Hurtigruten, MSC, NCL, Oceania, P&O, Princess, Regent, Royal Caribbean, Seabourn, Silversea, Star Clipper, Viking, Voyages of Discovery.
I also have very good relationships with a number of land based holiday providers and this helps to provide my clients with a full travel proposition and not just Cruise if that is appropriate.close ↑
