With the influence of: one of Britain’s favourite chefs, James Martin; godfather of food, Marco Pierre White; Michelin-Star expert of spice, Atul Kochhar; award winning patissier, Eric Landlard; and wine expert, Olly Smith – the only language spoken on board will be that of food and drink. Britannia will feature 13 different bars and 13 restaurants across 15 passenger decks and we provide a taste of what to expect from the five food heroes.
James Martin – Cookery Club
One of the nation’s favourite chefs; James Martin has been a popular cookery host on a variety of television programmes – more recently Saturday Kitchen. Deck 17 of Britannia is home to his own inspired Cookery Club, which comprises of 12 cook stations. Whether you are experienced or a beginner, you will be able to learn a range of skills from a professional chef over the course of a two hour long class.
Atul Kochhar – Sindhu Restaurant
Atul Kochhar was the first Indian chef to receive a Michelin Star for his expertise with spices to create delectable and delicious dishes. Combining his love for spices with the very best of local produce in his dishes has allowed him to create a fine collection of innovative dishes. His restaurant, Sindhu, will be nothing short of spectacular. Everything from the exquisite décor to marvellous food will create for a truly unique experience of Indian cuisine.
Eric Lanlard – Market Café
Breakfast? Lunch? Afternoon Tea? Master patissier, Eric Lanlard, has you covered with his amazing range of pasties, cakes and tapas in the Market Café. Eric has made cakes for many famous clients before including the British royal family. This exciting and vibrant but also relaxing venue will be home to a range of expertly created French pasties from macaroons to opulent cakes and mousses. The Market Café will also be home to a wide range of cheeses, antipasto and speciality breads.
Olly Smith – Glasshouse
If you enjoy wine with your food but aren’t overly knowledgeable and would like to learn more; you can gain a lot of insight from Olly Smith. His inspired, stylish Glass House restaurant serves just a small number of dishes; but the emphasis here is on the wine. With assistance, you will be able to find the best wine – served by the glass – to suit each individual dish. The idea is for all the wines to be laid out on display and allow customers to follow their intrigue and taste their way to a wine that best suits their pallet.
Marco Pierre White – Gala Evenings
The feared godfather of cooking, Marco Pierre White, exerts passion in every dish he produces and you can rest assured that he will be bringing his high standards on board Britannia. Marco Pierre White is so passionate that he was the youngest British chef to have received three Michelin Stars and he has taught many other famous chefs including Gordon Ramsay. On Gala Evenings, Marco Pierre White will prepare and provide a wide range of his own dishes that will appear on the menus throughout the evening.

Additionally, there are also buffet restaurants with live cooking stations that deliver a wide selection of fresh pancakes, noodles and omelettes.
