Crystal Symphony Review

Written By:

August 22, 2017

The opportunity to get onboard Crystal Symphony in August 2017 for a good look around, and to experience Crystal Cruises’ renowned cuisine, was one I couldn’t afford to miss. I therefore arrived at the cruise terminal in Liverpool bright and early, and she looked splendid moored in this famous maritime city. Watch my video below, take a look at my photos on Facebook, then contact GoCruise with Ian on 01455821770 or 080029228580.

General Information about Crystal Symphony

Crystal Symphony carries 922 passengers with over 550 members of crew providing a six star service. She has 13 grades of accommodation, ranging from the CP Crystal Penthouse with Verandah, at 982 sq ft, to an E2 Deluxe Stateroom with Large Picture Window, at 282 sq ft. Crystal Cruises offer All-Inclusive luxury, with includes complimentary select fine wines, champagne, spirits and soft drinks, gratuities, dining in each speciality restaurant once each cruise, and much more.

Dining is an important part of the Crystal Cruises experience, and as well as the Crystal Dining Room there is also The Bistro, Lido Café Palm Court (for afternoon tea), Prego, Silk Road, The Sushi Bar, Trident Bar & Grill and The Vintage Room.

For entertainment there is the Hollywood Theatre, Starlite Club, Palm Court, Galaxy Lounge, Connoisseur Club, Avenue Saloon, Crystal Cove and Resorts World at Sea Casino. A number of cruises have themes, which include ’Big Band & Ballroom Dance’, ‘Classics in the Arts’, Crystal Wine & Food Festival’, ‘Film & Theatre’, ‘Golf’, and ‘Jazz Days & Cabaret Nights’ to name just a few.

Facilities around the ship include the Crystal Spa & Salon, the Fitness Centre, Golf Driving Nets, Putting Green, Seahorse Pool, Shuffleboard Courts, Sundeck, shops, library, Bridge Lounge and more.

Note – Despite the fact that everything onboard Crystal Symphony looks as good as new, she is having a major refurbishment later this year, and there will be quite a few changes. These will be to lounges and dining areas, including the introduction of open dining. She will also end up with fewer but larger suites, reducing the number of passengers carried from 922 to 848.

Crystal Cruises – has been voted the ‘World’s Best’ on more occasions than any other cruise line, hotel or resort.

Ocean Cruising – as well as the Crystal Symphony, there is also the 1,070 passenger Crystal Serenity

Crystal Yacht – they have the beautiful 62 passenger Crystal Esprit offering a luxury yacht experience. Next will be Crystal Endeavour, a 200 passenger polar class mega yacht due in 2019, with two more to follow.

River Cruising – by the end of 2017 there will be 3 all suite luxury river yachts, Crystal Mozart, Crystal Bach and Crystal Debussy, with 2 more joining the fleet in 2018, Crystal Ravel and Crystal Mahler.
