You can now see all seven continents in one sailing… - March 2018

GoCruise – 20/03/18

World cruises are nothing new, neither are sailings to some of the most remote regions on the planet. It is safe to say that cruising has made the world more accessible than ever before, taking passengers to popular destinations such as the Caribbean and Mediterranean. A cruise can also offer a chance to experience natural events such as the Northern Lights or visit the Antarctic Peninsula.

Silver Whisper

With so much to see and experience, it can be difficult to make a decision. Silversea, however, may have just devised the perfect solution with their epic 140-day world cruise. This unique sailing will be the first ever sailing to incorporate all seven continents, with opportunities to experience the charming warmth of the Mediterranean and icy cold conditions of the Antarctic Peninsula. And, you will get to see it all while also enjoying the ultra-luxurious surroundings and unparalleled quality of service available aboard Silversea’s Silver Whisper.

Departing out of Fort Lauderdale on the 6th January 2020, all 382 passengers on board will be treated to a truly one-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Passengers will first head to Puerto Rico and the Caribbean, calling into Barbados and French Guiana. This will then be followed by a tour of the South American continent, with overnight calls in the iconic Brazilian city of Rio de Janeiro and the Argentine capital of Buenos Aires.

Antarctic Peninsula

You will spend three whole days exploring this mesmerising polar landscape, enjoying plenty of wildlife-spotting opportunities. Keep an eye open for a range of native birds, seals and penguin species.

You will then traverse the Pacific Ocean, enjoying visits to the mysteriously gazing stone heads of Easter Island and the relaxing paradise beaches of French Polynesia. This will whet your appetite for a comprehensive tour of Australia, with calls into Sydney, Melbourne, Kangaroo Island and Albany.

Singapore

After this, you will complete a comprehensive tour of southern Asia, stopping in the Indonesian island of Bali, Singapore and the Thai beach destination of Phuket. Continuing in a westerly direction, you will have an opportunity to admire the Sri Lankan capital of Colombo and the chaotic Indian city of Mumbai. Your tour of Asia concludes in the Middle East, with visits to the Omani ports of Muscat and Salalah, and the Jordanian port of Aqaba – where you will have an opportunity to experience the Modern Wonder of the World that is Petra.

Pyramids

The only African port on the itinerary is Safaga, but this Egyptian port provides a unique opportunity visit the magnificent Ancient Wonder of the World that is the Pyramids of Giza. This is followed by a transit through the Suez Canal as you travel towards the Mediterranean.

Here, you will have opportunities to visit some of Europe’s most impressive cities including Rome, Barcelona and Lisbon.
